Approachable Financial Planning LLC will not disclose your personal information to anyone unless it is required by law or at your direction. We will not sell your personal information. Approachable Financial Planning LLC will provide this privacy statement to all clients annually.

We gather information about you so that we can:

  • Help design and implement the investment and planning related services we provide you; and

  • Comply with the Federal and State laws and regulations that govern us.

 We may collect the following types of “nonpublic personal information” about you during our initial meeting or subsequent consultations: your name, phone number, address, date of birth, and financial information.

What Information We Disclose

Approachable Financial Planning LLC will not disclose any personal information about you or your account(s) unless one of the following conditions is met:

  • We receive your prior written consent; or

  • We have documentation that the recipient is your authorized representative; or

  • We are required by law to disclose information to the recipient

Arrangements with companies or independent contractors not affiliated with Approachable Financial Planning LLC will be subject to confidentiality agreements. Information for the purpose of service termination will be shared with an emergency contact in the event of the advisor’s incapacitation, as outlined in the Business Continuity Plan.

How We Protect Your Personal Information

Privacy has always been important to Approachable Financial Planning LLC. We restrict and limit access to client information only to those who need to carry out their business functions. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your confidential personal information.

Notice of Incapacitation  

In order to ensure timely notification in the event of Laura Higgins’ incapacitation, the client authorizes Approachable Financial Planning LLC to provide information for the purpose of service termination to the emergency contact, Timothy Higgins, as outlined in our Business Continuity Plan. The information provided to Mr. Higgins will include access to the client’s name, email address, physical address, and telephone number stored within Approachable Financial Planning LLC’s client database. The client understands that Mr. Higgins will use their contact information solely for the purposes of notification.
